Widening of Inland Boat Slip, 5657 South Island Park Drive

The owner of 5657 South Island Park Drive in Manotick has proposed to widen the existing inland boat slip. The existing slip measures 18 x 22 feet and it would increase to 20 x 26 feet (a difference of 124 ft2).  The depth of the existing slip is sufficient and won't be altered. Rosetta stone will be used as a retaining wall for the sides of the slip. This work is being conducted within historically filled lands that is still under federal ownership.

The overall shoreline development project also includes the installation of riprap as shoreline stabilization across the property frontage and the establishment of a 3 m vegetative buffer behind the riprap slope. This project will also be assessed by the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority.
