Restoration of Ducks Unlimited Canada wildlife habitat at Lake Saint-François National Wildlife Area: Digue-aux-Aigrettes marsh

The restoration work planned by ECCC and Ducks Unlimited Canada involves of repairing breaches in the dike. This restoration work is necessary to maintain the ecological functions of the marsh and the species that depend on it. The design of the restoration project took into account various considerations, including technical feasibility, costs and duration of the work, as well as valued environmental components (VECs) and the vocation of the national wildlife reserve.
