Window Replacement Implementation - Major-General G.R. Pearkes

This project involves replacing nine deteriorated windows at the Major-General G.R. Pearkes Building, a recognized federal heritage building. The windows are character-defining elements of the building's architecture, so the project will follow federal heritage conservation standards.
Mitigation measures will include repairing or replacing windows in-kind using historically appropriate materials and designs, protecting adjacent heritage features during construction, limiting noise and dust, following municipal by-laws for idling and noise control, and disposing of removed materials in accordance with federal and municipal waste regulations, prioritizing recycling where possible. With these measures in place, the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
