CPC VIP Pavillion

The Musical Ride is seeking to design and construct a new, permanent open-air pavilion structure. A permanent structure will save the annual cost of renting a tent and associated coordination and will provide the needed protection for guests. Having a permanent structure would allow the Musical Ride to expand their program and to host additional performances throughout the year. The new pavilion will be built on the existing slab, thereby minimizing the disruption to the surrounding landscape. Tender documents are currently being prepared and it is expected to have a Consultant on board by the end-December 2022. The design tender package is expected to be complete by April 2023, with Construction Tender that same month. Due to the Sunset Ceremonies being held in May of 2023 to coincide with the 150th Anniversary of the RCMP, construction is planned to begin in June 2023 with completion in October of the same year.

Latest update

March 28, 2025 - The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause signficant adverse environmnetal effects.
