Decontamination and Deconstruction of Blocks 6 and 7 at 600 Montée-Saint-François, Laval

Existing buildings 6 and 7 are contaminated with materials containing asbestos and mold, and interior spaces do not meet current Correctional Service of Canada design standards for a minimum security facility. It is planned to replace these obsolete buildings with a new minimum security residential unit.

October 27, 2020 – The Correctional Service Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
