Application for Leave to Abandon Pipelines under Order MO-071-2018

Commandité gestion energy Windmill DREAM Québec Inc. is proposing to abandon four deactivated pipelines that currently occupy air space above the Ottawa River between Gatineau, Québec and Ottawa, Ontario. The pipelines are suspended under the Chaudière Bridge (and associated structures), a federal asset managed by Public Services and Procurement Canada. The four pipelines previously carried non-hydrocarbon products, including steam, steam condensate, water, and effluent. The pipelines attached to the Chaudière Bridge will be removed using a crane that will be located on Chaudière bridge deck and no land will be disturbed during removal. Removal of pipes is proposed for summer 2020 and spring 2021. Further information regarding the work to be undertaken can be found on the Canada Energy Regulator's website, under Filing ID C06987.
