Landon's Bay Temporary Parking

There is inadequate parking at Landons Bay, with Visitor Use statistics indicating nearly 50,000 users in 2022. On completion of an Options Analysis recommended by the Park Management Team a temporary parking lot is proposed for the site of the old managers house at the entryway to Landons Bay. It will consist of an entryway, and exit, and roughly 20 angled parking spaces on a gravel pad (~900 sq. m). The intent is to later remove and reuse the material as more substantial (and permanent) parking becomes available. Signage will be required to orient visitors to the parking and the existing barrier gate will need to be moved to control access to the back of the site. This site is a previously disturbed open area (site of an old house and yard until 2018). The work will involve the removal to top soil and addition of gravel aggregates that are then leveled until final grade.
