Remediate Boxcar Road Culvert at 8 Wing Trenton

This project will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1 – construction and initiation of a new 8.5 metre by 39 metre access road to POL compound, which will be used during the construction of crossing located beyond 30 metre radius from Meyers Creek; and Phase 2 – removal of Boxcar Road culvert, and the replacement/re-instatement of the new 12 metre x 3.5 metre pre-cast culvert and roadway.

Phase 1 does not include any in-water construction activities. Phase 2 includes the replacement of Meyers Creek crossing concrete structure.

Phase 1 is to commence in Fall of 2020 and Phase 2 is to commence in Summer of 2021.

August 26, 2020 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
