Joyceville Institution Cattle and Goat Barn Construction

As part of the re-opening of CORCAN farms at Joyceville Institution, Ontario, new barns will be built for dairy operations.  The barns will be of 9,547 m2 in total size, and will house the operations for both cow and goat dairy farming.  The barns will also include offices for staff and classrooms for offender programs.  The barns will be built near the former Joyceville farming operation, but will also expand into the adjacent fields.

March 03, 2021 – The Correctional Service Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project Joyceville Institution Cattle and Goat Barn Construction is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
