Child & Family Well-Being Centre

The Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation, are an Algonquin First Nation in Ontario, Canada. Their territory is located in the former township of South Algona now adjecent to Renfrew County in the Ottawa Valley on Golden Lake, approximatley 150km Northwest of Ottawa. The community has approximatley 500 residents. Alqonquins of Pikwakanagan are seeking to contruct a Child & Family Wellbeing Centre. The building will be by approximatley 2000m2 and occur at the address of  1467 Mishomis Inamo, Pikwakanagan, ON K0J1X0 (45.568, -77.236). The building will be located entirely on Reserve land.

 

The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
