12-Bay Medium Girder Bridge Training Site Improvement & Re-Opening - Garrison Petawawa

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which involves the improvement and re-opening of the 12-bay Medium Girder Bridge bridging training site located along Brennan Lake in the 2 Combat Engineer Regiment back compound. Mitigation measures will be implemented to protect the adjacent water bodies and wetlands from negative impacts during construction. The completion of this project will enable greater training opportunities for the bridging specialists in the region.

Latest update

May 8, 2022 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
