YUL Montreal-Trudeau International Airport - Replacement of a section of the airport site fence

ADM wishes to replace a wooden fence with a metal fence on the periphery of the YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport site. It is located on lots 3 117 047 and 5 450 519 north of the airport site.

The regulated area of YUL Montréal-Trudeau Airport is surrounded by metal fencing, except for one area north of the regulated area which is bordered by a wooden fence. This avoided the disruption of NAV Canada's air traffic control system signals. NAV Canada's new instruments are no longer affected by the presence of metal fencing. The replacement of the wooden fence with a metal fence (frost) over a distance of approximately 1,500 metres will improve the security of the airport site and harmonize this portion of the fence with the rest of the existing fence.

Latest update

September 29, 2025 – ADM Aéroports de Montréal issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects by applying the mitigation measures provided for in the project.
