Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte - Elder and Disabled Care Home Construction

The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte First Nation propose the construction of a new 128 bed Elder and Disabled Care home on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.  The facility will be approximately 8,000 square metres in size and will be connected to municipal water an sanitary services provided by the Town of Desoronto.  Natural gas will be provided by connecting to Enbridge infrastructure and fibre-optic communications will be provided by 7th Gen Communications.

June 27, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination Notice of Determination for the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte - Elder and Disabled Care Home Construction - Canada.ca (ceaa-acee.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
