Port of Oshawa - ready-mix concrete plant

Sunrock Industries Canada ULC. is proposing to construct a new ready-mix plant at 1050 Farewell Street in Oshawa, Ontario. 

The ready-mix concrete plant footprint will be about 375m2 and consist of 2 silos that will store cement and cement supplements, a conveyor to load the aggregates into the bins, internal aggregate and sand loading bins, weigh hoppers, a dust collector, water tanks, and a loading point for transferring the materials to the ready-mix truck. The ready-mix concrete plant would produce about 500 cubic metres of concrete per day. Return concrete will be removed from the site on an ongoing basis and recycled off-site. There will be no crushing of recycled concrete conducted on-site. Water collection and treatment facilities and utility services would be installed to support the plant operations. Stormwater will be discharged into the municipal storm sewer system.

The plant will typically operate Monday to Friday between 06:00 and 19:00. However, the plant may occasionally operate up to 24 hours per day and on weekends.
