April 20, 2026 — On February 20, 2026, the Minister of the Environment, Climate Change and Nature received a request from the Michi Saagiig Williams Treaty First Nations for a regional assessment. Following its preliminary review, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada determined the request complete on April 20, 2026, and is now conducting an analysis to make a recommendation to the Minister on whether a regional assessment is warranted.
