The project is a complete replacement of the Main Dam and rebuilding of the failed earthen side dam. The main work involves the complete demolition of the existing main dam, construction of a new dam in the same location and orientation. Secondary work involves building a new concrete side dam to replace the breached earth dam. Parks Canada owns the assets but not the associated or adjacent properties.
