Road drainage, Resurfacing and Paving in Rapid Lake

The project consist to perform a complete reconstruction and modification of the existing streets and drainage in the Algonquin community of Barrier Lake located in Rapid Lake. The reconstruction of the streets and drainage include: The rehabilitation of the existing surface drainage, dismantling and replacement of driveway and cross culverts, the replacement of the streets sub-foundation by a appropriate substructure, the addition of a storm sewer on some selected main roads and the paving off  the whole community including curbs & sidewalks on the selected strategic main streets.

 


Latest update

April 25, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
