Short Range Development (SRD) Fence Installation – 22 Wing North Bay

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The project includes removing and mowing vegetation and installing approximately 554m of security fence around the Short Range Development (SRD) site. The fence will be 2.1m tall and an access gate will be installed on the SRD driveway.

Latest update

November 13, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
