Nipissing First Nation - Cultural Center Construction

Nipissing First Nation is proposing this project to develop a new cultural center that will provide culturally relevant services for the community. Physical activities will include earth works pertaining to site preparation such as clearing of trees, grubbing, lot servicing and connections to water and sanitary services. The total footprint of the new facility will be approximately 3,600 m2

April 23, 2024 - Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until May 23, 2024 respecting the determination.
April 23, 2024 - A public participation period is underway.
