Wasauksing First Nation - Lot Servicing for future houses

The community of the Wasauksing First Nation proposed this project to clear, service and prepare lots to accommodate future houses. A lot of >100 m2 on undeveloped lands were proposed within the community. Physical activities include earth works related to site preparation and clearing, extension of road, water and sanitation services.

Latest update

March 6, 2023 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause adverse environmental effects.

February 6, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until March 6, 2023 respecting the determination.
