Guardrail Installations at select Culverts on Lower Spring Road and 11th Line at 4 CDTC Meaford

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. Real Property Operations is proposing to install guardrails at two culverts, specifically at culvert 6.029, located just past the range access gate on Lower Spring Road and culvert 6.018, on 11th Line. Construction will consist of installing erosion and sedimentation control, installing posts and guardrail, as per design requirements, and applying sealer along the roadside. Any excess fill will be managed in accordance with federal and provincial requirements, with an intent to re-use on the base. This Project will ensure safe use of the roadways

January 8, 2026 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
