Spring Creek Sediment Clean Out

Spring Creek at the Courtney Park Drive bridge crossing is prone to debris jams. The channel and floodplain at the bridge are concrete, for ease of maintenance access. The debris is periodically removed but the backwater created in the intervening period is causing deposition of sediment. The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is seeking to remove the sediment within the Spring Creek low flow channel to restore connectivity and to reduce flooding in this area.
