Dismantling of Hydro-Québec Line (DUR266) - La Mauricie National Park

From the Saint-Jean-des-Piles entrance to the Rivière-à-la-Pêche campground, an overhead power line is located in a forest right-of-way. The project aims to remove this overhead line DUR266 which has become unused following the burial of the network along the Promenade road. The project involves the removal of poles and various components associated with the power supply. The dismantling materials will be removed from the area and the excavated pole holes will be filled with a substrate. The December to March period has the least impact on resources due to frozen ground work. In the spring, monitoring will be conducted to assess additional restoration or stabilization needs.
