Chilliwack Creek Stormwater Outfall Installation

Cedarbrook Development Limited Partnership is developing a residential community on Schweyey Road on the Shxwhá:y Village lands in Chilliwack, BC. Proposed works include the clearing of riparian vegetation and construction of a stormwater outfall to facilitate discharge of stormwater collected in the communities stormwater management system into Chilliwack Creek. The proposed works will occur within designated riparian and aquatic critical habitat for Salish Sucker (Catostomus sp. cf. catostomus).

Fish habitat offsetting measures are proposed and include the enhancement of adjacent riparian habitat through removal of invasive species and planting of native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous species suitable for the site.
