Berth 1 and 2 maintenance dredging - PCT

The proposed project

Pacific Coast Terminals Co Ltd (PCT) proposes to restore the depths alongside Berths 1 and 2 by dredging approximately 300 cubic metres (potentially less) using a clamshell dredge over an area of approximately 430 square metres at the PCT Terminal, 2300 Columbia St, Port Moody. The purpose of dredging is to maintain the required depth and width of the berth, allowing safe navigation, access, and loading operations of vessels. A marine spud derrick equipped with a clamshell bucket and material barge would be used to remove sediments.

The work is expected to be completed in approximately 3 to 5 days during the least-risk fisheries window, within standard working hours (7 AM–4 PM, Monday to Friday).
