Removal of modular office trailers

Vancouver Drydock Company proposes to remove several modular buildings and utilities from the northwest corner of the drydock site, as they are no longer required. The staff that occupy the modular offices will be relocated to the new operations building currently under construction on Seaspan-owned land, to the east of this location.

The buildings would be relocated off-site on flatbed trailers. The contractor would dismantle items such as the timber foundations, skirting and external stairways for repurposing or disposal at an appropriate location. An electrical contractor would de-energize the modular buildings prior to any dismantling. A civil contractor would flush out the sanitary line, line cut the asphalt, excavate to remove the existing sanitary and water line and cap as required. After replacing the excavated soil, asphalt would be placed to match existing grade. Any above ground holding tanks would be removed from the site.

North Vancouver, B.C. – January 24, 2025 – The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has determined that the proposed Removal of modular office trailers Drydock located at 203 Esplanade East, Vancouver Drydock is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
