Maintenance dredging - Heidelberg Surrey depot

Fraser River Pile and Dredge (GP) Inc., on behalf of Heidelberg Materials Canada Limited, proposes to conduct periodic maintenance dredging over the next five years, adjacent to 12366 Musqueam Drive, Surrey using a barge-mounted crane and clamshell equipment. The estimated dredge volume is up to 4,000 cubic meters per event, with the dredged material being transported by barge or scow for disposal under valid disposal at sea permit per the Canadian Environmental Protection Act at an approved disposal at sea site, or placed on the adjacent upland for reuse or disposal. The targeted dredge grade depth is approximately -5.0 meters chart datum, consistent with previous maintenance dredging activities. When required, maintenance dredging may be conducted on weekends and holidays to accommodate the facility's barge loading operations.
