YVR North Runway Lighting Upgrades

The Vancouver Airport Authority is proposing enhancements to the electrical infrastructure for edge lights along the North Runway (Runway 08L-26R) at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The project includes trenching new electrical ducting and pull-pits around the runway perimeter. The Airport Authority anticipates that construction for this proposed project will take place in summer and fall 2024, during the current nightly closure period for the North Runway.

October 2, 2024 – The Vancouver Airport Authority issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
