Maintenance dredging - Seaspan Delta

The proposed project

Maintenance dredging activities would include the removal of accumulated riverine sediments to achieve a safe navigational and mooring depth of approximately -4.5 metres Chart Datum (CD) across an area of approximately 16,138 square metres. Dredging would take place using conventional dredging methods, such as, a clamshell bucket and/or suction dredging technique. Dredged materials would be loaded onto a scow for transport and disposal at an approved disposal site.

Delta, B.C. – July 31, 2024 – The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) have determined that the proposed Maintenance dredging - Seaspan Delta located at 9350 Alaska Way, Delta, BC is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
