Sc'ianew First Nation - Whale View Crescent Subdivision

The Project will develop the area at the western extent of Becher Bay #1, known as Whale View Crescent, into an 18-lot single family residential subdivision. The area has previously been partially cleared. The Project will include the road and site improvements required to develop a crescent road and grade the lots in preparation for houses. The Project will install underground hydro and communication. The Project will construct a gravity wastewater collection system that drains to a proposed wastewater pump station south of the subdivision, and then extend a forcemain east along East Sooke Road to connect to the gravity system on Sutiacum Road, which conveys wastewater to Sc'ianew's wastewater treatment plant. A road widening, for the purpose of creating an active transportation/walkway, will be constructed over part of the forcemain to provide connectivity to Becher Bay #1s hub. Wastewater treatment plant improvements to facilitate the pumped flow from the 18-Lot subdivsion will also be completed.
