Aitchelitz First Nation Stormwater Outfall

Aitchelitz First Nation is developing a new subdivision at Aitchelitch I.R. 9, in Chilliwack, BC. The proposed works include construction of a stormwater outflow into Atchelitz Creek. Works will include clearing of upland vegetation prior to the excavation and installation of underground stormwater infrastructure, including storm sewer pipes; junctions (with surface openings); and a stormwater control system.

These works will occur within designated riparian and aquatic critical habitat for Salish sucker (Catostomus sp. cf. catostomus).

Fish and fish habitat offsetting measures will be implemented post construction, and will be monitored for 10 years.
