Rivers Edge Mixed Use Project

Khowutzun Development Corporation, the economic arm of Cowichan Tribes, is proposing a wood frame construction located at 222 Cowichan Way, Duncan, British Columbia which will consist of two (2) 6-storey buildings and an underground parkade.  Project activities will include excavation, concrete foundations, concrete underground structure, concrete above ground structure, wood framing, building envelope, interior work, testing, commissioning & closeout, parkade work, landscaping, the establishment of enabling infrastructure to connect structures to utilities and access points and potential electric vehicle charging stations.  The Canada Infrastructure Bank is considering financing a portion of the project works and intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Public comments are invited until April 9, 2025 respecting that determination; individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website
