Penticton Indian Band Sage Road 24 Lot Subdivision

The purpose of the Penticton Indian Band 24 lot Sage Road subdivision is to address the extreme housing shortage within the community. This project serves as the first phase of land development near the Westhills area, with the goal of creating safe, healthy, and affordable housing for band members. The Penticton Indian Band is committed to supporting the growing community by providing much-needed housing, as the wait list for housing currently exceeds 150 members, both on and off reserve. This project will help to alleviate the housing crisis and improve the quality of life for band members by providing a sustainable, long-term solution to the housing shortage.

Development of a 24 residential lot subdivision at Penticton Indian Band IR 1. Physical works of the project will include new road alignment and design, new watermain installation, stormwater infrastructure installation, power and street light services as well as the addition of the 24 lot residential development.   After an initial lot review with PIB considering these constraints, it was decided that the best course of action was to extend the road 180 meters before loading the lots on either side of the new road. Thus, Sage Road was extended to Westhill Road with a road ROW of 20 metres.The purpose of the project is to provide much needed housing for the residents of Penticton Indian Band IR 1. The capacity of the project includes 24 individual lots.  Land area required for the project is approximately 3 hectares in size.
