Small craft dock stormwater line replacement – Pacific Coast Terminal

The proposal is to replace approximately 50 meters of an existing corrugated steel storm water pipe that crosses the terminal, and to expand the catchment area. The line picks up water from a culvert just outside of PCT's site, and discharges the into the ocean, next to the "small craft dock". An investigation conducted over the course of 2024 and 2025 revealed that the pipe is significantly compromised and requires replacement.

In addition, there is a need for improved storm water capture from the area around the upstream end of the pipe, so the project proposes approximately an additional 130m of new storm line, and additional catch basins at various points, and new oil separators.

May 25, 2026 – As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed Small craft dock stormwater line replacement – Pacific Coast Terminal, located at 2300 Columbia Street, Port Moody, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Written comments to be received by June 24, 2026.
