Grice Bay Road Bridge Repair

An Impact Assessment is required to address potential impacts from efforts to repair the Grice Bay Road bridge over the Coho Creek caused by recent King Tides and storm surge. Erosion has resulted in unsafe conditions for travel on this bridge and increased sedimentation into the fish bearing Coho Creek. The bridge will remain in place. Roadbed on both sides of the concrete bridge wings will be excavated and materials replaced with correct sized aggregate and large rip rap to re-build the slopes and protect the road and bridge from the effects of tidal forces that caused the erosion. Geotextiles will be applied to hold new aggregate materials in place
