Homalco First Nation - IR9 South Subdivision Phase 1

The proposed subdivision is located on Homalco Indian Reserve No. 9 (IR 9), situated west of the City of Campbell River and east of the Campbell River Airport and the Inland Island Highway (Highway 19). The development is proposed for lands within Homalco IR 9 that are located south of Neuman Creek. Access to the subdivision will be provided through existing community roads and the current Neuman Creek bridge crossing. Site servicing will include the construction of internal roads, stormwater and wastewater management systems, water supply infrastructure, and power and telecommunications services. Phase 1 of the project is planned to comprise approximately 70 residential lots.


Latest update

April 21, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, ISC is inviting public comments until May 21, 2026 respecting that determination.
