Burlington Canal Pier safety improvements

The Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority is proposing to improve pedestrian safety on the Burlington Canal piers by installing ~700 m of bullrail where none currently exists, grinding down trip hazards and filling potholes/voids on the surface of the piers.

Latest update

July 4, 2023 – The Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
