Street work and Stormwater Outfall Improvements, Port Dover, Ontario

The Norfolk County are proposing to reconstruct Harbour Street in Port Dover, Ontario. The work includes demolition and reconstruction of roadworks, watermains, storm sewers, and sanity sewers. The majority of the project work is located on municipal lands in Port Dover and will be completed to MTO Policy, standards and applicable Ministry of Transportation Drawings, Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications and Norfolk County Standards. A small section of the project will cross onto federal land administrated by Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH). The work which crosses onto the harbour site includes the installation of two stormwater outfall pipes, and a small amount of rip rap armouring. The pipes will include an 825 mm outfall as well as a 300 mm outfall. The designs indicate this work will be completed above the ordinary high water mark.

It is anticipated that the contractor will use heavy equipment to complete the proposed work. All waste material will be disposed of off-site by the contractor.
