Repairs to piers 19 and 21

The planned interventions of the project can be summarized as follows: 1) Repair of missing bolts in the ledgers of wharf 19/ Replacement of a ladder on the front of wharf 19/ Repair surface defects in sheet piles (work with divers); Metalwork replacement work including welding work with a team of divers. Main equipment: divers service truck, boom truck or crane; 2) 7m deep inspection well. Excavation work located in the paved parking lot of the naval school; installation of protective casing and supporting scaffolding to allow in-depth inspection of the sheet pile retaining structure. Main equipment: Mechanical shovel, crane. 3) Repair of the facade at the junction of platforms 19 and 21N Demolition/formwork/concreting works. Main equipment: concrete pump, boom truck or crane, concrete mixer 4) Pier 21 Key No17 Repair Welding work on steel plates down to the seabed to block the opening of the key and then concreting (work with a diver). The Quebec Port Authority and Fisheries and Oceans Canada have determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
