The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which consists of the installation of a standing column well geothermal system. This installation will be carried out in the sector of building VC-366, located on Chasse Street, on the site of the Valcartier base. The installation requires the drilling of 8 wells in total (7 10-inch boreholes, planned depth of 500 meters and one 6-inch borehole of 150 meters). Borehole cuttings and wells development water will be sampled and managed according to analysis results and applicable regulations.
