Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site wharf repairs

The project involves the demolition and replacement of the concrete deck at the Grosse Île wharf. The latter has subsidence in various places, making work necessary in order to improve drainage and secure access to the island.
The project includes the demolition of the wharf deck, the excavation of the backfill present and its replacement, and the installation of a new cast-in-place concrete deck. The work is expected to take place from autumn 2025 to spring 2026 with a winter shutdown period.
