Repair of Bridge 44 - Castor Center Golf Course - Canadian Forces Base Valcartier

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project repair and stabilize Bridge 44 as foundations are heavily damaged by erosion. The bridge crosses the Nelson River near hole #18 of the Castor Center golf course. The site ensures several outdoor activities for both military and civilian customers. The work required includes the removal of the Bailey type bridge, 40 feet by 5 feet long; the stabilization of the banks and the reconstruction of the bases; the replacement of the bridge on the new bases and the leveling of the approaches.
