Redevelopment of 57b St-Louis Street into an urban park, Quebec City

The City of Quebec is planning to redevelop 57b St-Louis Street into an urban park. The lot, which has been an abandoned field for a few years now, is in the heart of the historic district of Old Quebec City, a UNESCO world heritage site.

The lot will be reconfigured and developed to open it up to the public. It will be reconfigured while conserving its original shape. The ground will be raised to better incorporate the site into its surroundings and preserve archeological vestiges.

The project includes landscaping (planting of trees and shrubs, lawns, pedestrian walkways), installation of various types of outdoor lighting (and buried electrical lines), construction of a gazebo and installation of urban furniture.
