Outdoor Chapel Construction - Camp Aldershot

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project to construct an outdoor chapel at Camp Aldershot, Kentville, Nova Scotia. The project will consist of the construction of wooden arbours complete with concrete base, boulder retaining walls, and a concrete slab for the installation of storage shed. The project includes clearing and grubbing of existing vegetation, supply and placement of gravel, fill materials and rough grading, the supply and installation of precast concrete pavers and circle stone, and the supply and placement of topsoil, planting soil, sod, trees, shrubs, and other groundcovers as well as the supply and placement of associated site furnishings and equipment.

October 10, 2021 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
