Acadia First Nation Housing Development

The housing development consists of eight housing lots and associated infrastructure.  The development area is approximately 1.15 hectares.

Activities include:

  • Site preparation; vegetation clearing as required.
  • excavation and grubbing of work areas,
  • construction of road and gravel driveways,
  • construction of houses in accordance to current building codes,
  • electrical and municipal hookup, street lighting, emergency water services,
  • application of topsoil and replanting, as required
  • implementation of sediment and erosion control measures
  • disposal of waste at an approved facility

Latest update

July 9, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until August 8, 2020 respecting the determination.
