Supply And Install Modular Fiberglass Buildings Camp Petersville – 5th Canadian Division Support Base, Gagetown

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. The project includes the erection of 28 pre-fabricated modular fiberglass buildings (MFBs) on pre-existing and newly constructed tent pads. The electrical distribution will be upgraded with 4 additional 75 kVA pole-mounted transformers and two small buildings (PC-29 and PC-30) will be relocated. Four existing tent pads will have to be removed as they are too close to other pads to achieve the required fire separation distances. Finally, one small shrubbery will be cut down. The four demolished pads will be replaced by newly constructed concrete pads, and eight (8) other new pads will be constructed to expand the entire site to allow a total of 36 x MFBs on site. Each pad is 10.56m x 5.79m (61.15m2 in area), and the eight (8) new pads represent an increase of approximately 490m2 of the accommodation footprint of the site. There is no increase in the overall footprint of the site as the areas where the new pads are going are already cleared and are used from time-to-time as tent locations. The 28 shelters will join eight (8) that were previously installed on the site during fiscal year 2024/2025 and will be similarly equipped. The shelters are insulated and intended for four-season use. They are electrified and provided with lighting and heat pumps with unit heater back-ups. They are intended for multi-use as accommodations, office space, classroom space, command posts, and/or temporary storage.
