Cap Saint Louis Wharf Repairs, 2026

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada has scheduled major repairs to the Cap Saint Louis wharf located in Kouchibouguac National Park. The project will involve significant updates to underlying and internal components including - but not limited to - timber pile repairs, maintenance of existing pile caps and pile cross-bracing, and replacement of outer wall sheathing. No additional structures will be added, and no expanse of the existing wharf footprint is planned for this project. To avoid impacts to the 2026 summer lobster fishing season, the project is scheduled to begin on May 15th, 2026, and is expected to take approximately nine weeks to complete with activities concluding mid-July 2026.
