Containment cell reconstruction and harbour dredging at Saint-Edouard-de-Kent Fisheries and Oceans Canada Small Craft Harbour, Kent County, New Brunswick

The proposed project at the Saint-Edouard-de-Kent small craft harbour consists of removing the old dredge material from the existing containment cell with disposal to an approved facility, reconstruction of the cell with proper depth, elevation, liner, crushed sandstone and riprap, and the dredging of the harbour basin followed by the disposal of dredged spoils into the new containment cell. The reconstruction of the cell will be completed within the same footprint.

October 5, 2021 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH) have issued their Notice of Determination after evaluation of the project Containment cell reconstruction and harbour dredging at Saint-Edouard-de-Kent Fisheries and Oceans Canada Small Craft Harbour, Kent County, New Brunswick and have determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects with mitigation measures as outlined in their evaluation and can therefore proceed.
