The Lower Cove Loop Combined Sewer Rehabilitation Project Phase 1

The Lower Cove Loop Combined Sewer Rehabilitation Project Phase 1 consists of replacement and installation of combined and storm sewer infrastructure in the Lower Cove area of Saint John, New Brunswick. The project is intended to improve the condition and performance of existing combined sewer infrastructure in the Lower Cove area. The work generally includes installation of new sewer piping, storm sewer connections, precast manhole structures, modifications at CSO Chamber No. 1, installation of an emergency overflow pipe associated with SLS No. 9, and temporary relocation and reinstatement of affected Port Saint John electrical and communications infrastructure.

The work will be completed within an active port environment and will include excavation, backfill, asphalt reinstatement, fencing, traffic and access coordination, utility coordination, and environmental protection measures required to complete the work.
