Construct Combatant Training and Integration Centre - Canadian Forces Base Halifax

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. As part of the expansion of the Royal Canadian Navy's training capacity, a Combatant Training Integration Centre will be constructed at Canadian Forces Base Halifax, forming a key component of the concept of operations for future Canadian Surface Combatant training and operational support infrastructure. This facility will be a warfighting centre of excellence for the digital age; enabling rapid technological change with agile capability development, and secure training capability. The Combatant Training Integration Centre will create a collaborative training and operational support community of interest focused on the integration of Canadian Surface Combatant operations, technology, data, training, research, and development.

January 12, 2026— The authorities issued their Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
